Wrobel is a native of Gdansk, Poland; after the fall of the Iron Curtain she made her way into modelling in the West, gaining notice at a 1993 Ford Supermodel of the World contest. Later she appeared on the covers of Marie Claire, Vogue and Glamour, worked as a runway model, and posed for the Victoria's Secret catalog.
