Geena Davis Biography from Who2.com: "Tall and athletic but inclined towards comedy, Geena Davis won an Oscar as best supporting actress for her 1998 film The Accidental Tourist. Davis had a short-lived career as a model before winning a role in 1982's Tootsie (as Dustin Hoffman's dressing room partner). Davis then appeared in the TV sitcom Buffalo Bill before hitting it big in Hollywood with several popular films, including The Fly (1986, with future husband Jeff Goldblum) and Beetlejuice (1988, directed by Tim Burton). Her buddy movie with Susan Sarandon, Thelma and Louise (1991, directed by Ridley Scott), was a box office smash that earned Davis another Oscar nomination. Her other film credits include A League of Their Own (1992, with Madonna and Rosie O'Donnell), The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996, with Samuel L. Jackson) and Stuart Little (1999) and its 2002 sequel Stuart Little 2. In 1995 she married French tennis star Yannick Noah (now a reggae/rock performer) and had two children. Helfer got her start as a model, winning the 1992 Ford Supermodel of the World contest and then appearing on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Elle, Health and other magazines. She has been featured prominently in advertising for Oil of Olay and Victoria's Secret clothing. Helfer also played Farrah Fawcett in the 2004 TV movie Behind the Camera: the Unauthorized Story of Charlie's Angels. In Battlestar her character is responsible for the success of the cylon attack on the human planet Caprica, but goes on to become the first cylon to experience human emotions. Famously curvy even by supermodel standards, she was a regular on fashion magazine covers and in the Victoria's Secret catalog. Banks also dabbled in acting, with appearances in the movies Higher Learning (1995, with Jennifer Connelly) and Coyote Ugly (2000, with Piper Perabo). She's modelled around the world; in the United States she's best known for her appearances in Calvin Klein and Guess clothing ads and in the Victoria's Secret catalog. In 2001 Mulder became embroiled in controversy after she filed a rape complaint in France against Prince Albert of Monaco. She made a similar accusation during a taping of a television show, but the producers deemed her emotionally unstable and did not broadcast the interview. Later a rumor spread that Mulder had been committed to a psychiatric clinic, and in January of 2002 Mulder announced that she had been sexually abused as a child. Her father publicly blamed her troubles on drugs. Later in 2002 it was reported that she had attempted suicide from an overdose of sleeping pills.
